When I was a six year old girl I got to enjoy my first piano lesson, this was the moment I got addicted to playing the piano. I wanted to make a career out of it, but things didn’t go as planned and I became a lawyer. Besides my family and work, the piano had been my biggest hobby. Years later I decided to turn things around: I dedicated myself to the piano and started to take lessons from concertpianist Amina Figarova, afterwards Luis Rabello and now I am studying with Marietta Petkova (www.mariettapetkova.rocks).
My house concerts are beloved by the small amount of people that take a cosy ambiance with them. My guests will be welcomed by a cup of tea or coffee, a warm livingroom and a classical piano concert. To introduce the music I always tell a story about the composer or something about the part itself. This way the listeners will get a complete experience.
At the end of the concert there is always time to chat with other music lovers while one’s enjoying a drink.
Besides my house concerts I give concerts in public. My first big concert was in the Theaterschuurkerk of Maassluis. I also played a couple of times in the Maria Magdalena church of Maasland and Hodenpijl (www.ophodenpijl.nl) in Schipluiden.
It was a great experience to see that despite the big audience I was able to bring the classical music close to the listeners by introducing the pieces myself.

This was truly visible when I was performing 3 preludes from Debussy during the opening of the World Press Photo exhibition at the Laurenskerk (church) in Rotterdam. I visualised the link between how the music from Debussy can be turned into images and the exhibition itself.
I also like to give concerts with a theme such as a high tea, wine tasting or with guest players . Besides this I give private concerts at my home or somewhere else on a grand piano.
